I thought this one would have done better in the scoring stakes, it made explore on flickr so far reached 3,800 views 65 people made it there favorite, wrote myself a note for Septembers competition really must do better

The scoring has gone wrong I usually come near the bottom not first and second!

If only you knew what I had to go through to take such a mediocre photograph. First, I had to cycle 68 miles. I only had the camera on my phone to take pictures. I got a puncture in the middle of nowhere on the Fife coast (late on a Sunday afternoon). When fixing the puncture, I found out my pump was broken. (The second group of cyclists to pass had a pump that matched the valve on my tyre.) And, finally, near Bellsdyke Road, a wasp flew into my cycle helmet and stung me on the side of the head.

All for last place!

i personally do not have any preference as to whether the scores are showing or not, i score each image as i see it good, bad or indifferent no matter who took it, i know i am not famed for scoring high marks on many pictures i see photography as an art and like most things to do with art you either like it or don't

Hi all, just thought I'd comment on scores being made open to scrutiny - I think it'll inhibit some participants and therefore I would rather they were not made public, let's keep it fun, participant numbers are building nicely and we want to keep the numbers up and add to that. Frank
